Myanmar 2007 (Second trip) by Antonio Ribeiro (22637) 2007-03-23 - 2007-04-17
I am back in Burma for another four weeks of hard work on a drilling platform. For a good start, I spent five days working in the office and I was lucky enough to see the weekend included in the 5 days. As the drilling campaign is coming to an end now, I will spend an extra week in the office when I get off the platform to finish and wrap up all the reports I need to write. In the meantime, I will take some time off to continue exploring the beautiful city of Yangon and, of course, to share with you all the result of such expedition. I hope you will enjoy it as much I do.

Myanmar 2007 (First trip) by Antonio Ribeiro (22637) 2007-01-08 - 2007-02-10
This is my first ever trip to Myanmar. I am participating on an offshore gas field drilling project and I will spend most of the time on board of the rig Sedco 601. The project is supposed to last for three months and during that time I am hopping to be able to visit Yangon and possibly the city of Sittwe located in the North-West coast, near the border with Bangla Desh.
When possible, I will be posting some pictures during the weeks ahead depending on my spare time and on how often I can visit those two cities. (7 photos)
Beautiful colours of Myanmar by JM Hullot (19113) 2006-03-12 - 2006-03-20
Myanmar is certainly the most picturesque country I've ever visited. I'm sure most TrekEarth members know about it already due the large number of excellent quality pictures that have been posted in the Myanmar gallery. I'll just add a few of mines hoping to make an interesting contribution that you will enjoy. (26 photos)
21 DAYS IN MYANMAR by Steven Le Vourc'h (9271) 2006-03-10 - 2006-03-31
DAY 1 – YANGON-INLE LAKE
We land in Yangon at 11 :00 AM. We change some money then hesitate between staying 1-2 days in Yangon or keep travelling to reach Nyangshwe near the Inle lake.
Considering the information we collect at the airport and the fact we are a bit tired after such a long flight, we come to the conclusion we’d better continue travelling instead of wasting the afternoon sleeping in Yangon. So, we take a flight for Heho airport at 3 :00 PM. We take a taxi and after a one hour drive, we arrive in Nyangshwe village around ... (full story) (24 photos)
