A 15 days of hiking around Manaslu summit in Nepal. Manaslu is the 8th highest summit in world and even if the region is close to the one of Annapurna, it is less visited and wilder.

11 days of hiking in the inner south of Iceland. From Landmannalaugar going north east to reach the lake of Langisjor near Vatnajokull glacier and then walking south west following Tungna river and the rift Eldgja to reach north ridge of Myrdalsjokull glacier and finally Thorsmork.
By the way, many cold rivers to pass walking in, changing weathers with incredible cloud patterns and the surprizing colors of the volcano landscape.

Mauritania trek - Adrar to Tagant by yves lavignasse (13750) 2007-11-25 - 2007-12-16

3 weeks trip in Mauritania to practice a hike with camels between Adrar (starting at Chinguetti) and going to Tagant (ending at Rachide).
Come-back to the starting point by car and passing by Nouakchott and the sea side.
In the fact, it was 16 full days of walk through the different landscape of Adrar (from erg Ouarane and its sand sea to the reg plateau of Tagant). The route was designed to follow the water holes to insure its supplying.
Through the 285km of walk, I will try to show you the landscapes, the life of this little caravan (11 people and 7 camels) and what Mauritania looks like. (32 photos)
