Traditional the third Sunday of October is the day of horse, in it lovely park of the castle of Maldegem, Sint Anna.
Early in the morning I was present I want photographing the beautiful horses and the carriages.
The horses and carriages come long a dark way in this park.
You can see my picture when come the horses walking to the park.

These picture is not extra sharpness, no colours, of RAW to Jpeg without PP with a 70-200 lens out the hand.

I hope you like it.

History of castle and park:
The St-Anna castle was the first hospital. It was Canon Arnout van Maldegem, born on the farm Warhem, who donated an important part of his properties at St-Jans Hospital of Bruges. the brothers of the hospital were obliged to built a hospital in Maldegem and give free medical attendance to sick people. Two centuries later, the hospital didn't exist anymore, and the patients were transported to Bruges for a free treatment on a cart, drown by dogs! In 1957, the municipality brought the whole domain from the heirs of notary Dhondt who died childless and opened the wonderful mansion to public: it became the municipal park. First the castle had to be renovated with the help from the inhabitants, who fought for their historical heritage! Since 1981, the local police is housing at the castle. The municipal park is bordered by the Ede, a small river that runs through Maldegem from North to South. the Park allows one to observe over hundred different species of plants and old trees. It is an oasis of greenery, a must for everyone! There's a playground behind the park, which is part of the community's sporting infrastructure.

Le POV très bien choisi permet à la fois d'apprécier la stature et la musculature du premire cheval mais aussi tout l'attelage. La couleur des chevaux est magnifiquement capéte et ressort très bien dans le cadre vert créé par la végétation.

PS: We have in Bavaria similar days, mostly at St. Leonard, the patron saint of the horses. It's always a great spectacle.

The horses are a few very noble and elegant animals, and your photo has caught this scene in which these four beautiful specimens are carrying the carriage, with good dynamism.

A fine capture John,

This close up of the horses shows all their elegance and superb skin. The composition gives preminence just to the horses which with their colour contrast in a loving way with the green grass. The horse to the right realized you were photographing him and gave you a proud glance! (:-)
Very expressive and alive. It give a strong feeling of presence.

The warm light is so strong, the glass and green vegetation looks really good, but the horses look a little bit too brown and red, like it been on the bbq, the black part was the burnt area. Otherwise the quality is good as always, good sharpness, good clarity. Thanks

Since my wife is a carriage driver, albeit with only a single horse, I can tell these guys were paying more attention to you than the driver. They are out of step and misbehaving somewhat. However the shot is well composed with more room on the left for the horses to move into. Also the exposure was well handled for a sunny day in the park.

Bonjour John.
Pour une photo non retouchée pour la couleur ou le contraste c'est une réussite. La lumière est ici excellente sur la robe des chevaux. J'aime aussi les couleurs qui ressortent sur le feuillage bien vert.
