Photographer’s Note

1357- The year the bridge was actually built. Both ends of the bridge are fortified by towers (Lesser Town Bridge Towers & Old Town Bridge Tower). From 1683 to 1928 thirty sculptures and sculptural groups of the saints were gradually set on the bridge piers. The bridge is 515 meters long and 10 meters wide.

Love the composure of the pavement in this shot. This is looking up Mostecka from Charles bridge up one of the busiest streets in Prague. I prefer shooting Prague in black and white as the majority of the buildings are the same dull colour and it gives it an ancient feel to it.

Nice picture with strange effect, like if ghosts were passing in front of you...
I like the choice of colors and the good graphical power given by the arcade and the curves on the ground.

This is really good Darren. The composition is excellent with the close up view of the cobbled street in the foreground really drawing the eye into the frame.
I didn't notice them at first but the blurred passersby are a nice touch.

Very good - great low viewpoint & wide angle. the 'ghost' effect on the left side is interesting as I can't quite make out any detail on the person who's walking along.

The tones & colours are great, it's almost a B&W image!

Wonderful shot! The curve of the paving stones makes a great pattern in the foreground and leads in to the archway very well. The frame seems very well balanced too. The motion blur of the people is agreat addition, giving a hint of mystery and 'story' to the shot. Well done!
