Photographer’s Note

Mon titre français fait référence au cinéma.
Mon titre anglais est "Walking in the rain" qui est aussi une chanson de Grace Jones.
J'ai eu la chance de connaitre Marrakech sous la pluie.
15 minutes d'orage et 1/30 seconde pour prendre cette image...
Merci à ces inconnus de passage et à cette divine lumière.

Hi Patrice,
this is as rain as rain can be - I get wet feet just by looking at it.
Great photo, I especially like the blurred person in front and the long, heavy raindrops.

Bonjour Patrice,

Double originalité dans cette photo de Marrakech : l'utilisation du N&B et la pluie.
Le résultat est à la hauteur : avec le reflet brillant de l'eau sur le sol.
Quant à la gestuelle des passants elle est superbe.
C'est une magnifique "non carte postale".

Bonjour patrice
le genre d'image que l'office du tourisme marocain aimerait voler pour l'enfouir au plus profond. L'anti-invite !!
Le premier personnage dynamise la scène par son aspect un peu flou. belle lumière qui réussit à filtrer sur le sol par les auvents? Ca avait l'air de vraiment donner.

Quaite unusual but great ! There are many entries here at TE taken in snow, or beach but none under rain !
Very good light management and perfect execution with great graphism.

The light is indeed magical, when you combine rain with the shadowy alleys of Marrakech. It's hard for me to picture Marrakech in the rain, because when I was there it was sunny and 40 C every day, but this kind of photo sure helps. You have a nice placement of the people and the umbrella in the frame. Regards, Ken.

This is very different, we all expect Morocco to be endlessly hot, good to see that they have rain now and again, and I expect it is most welcome.B&W shows it up really well.

I think rain is very rare in this city and you managed a great shot.Good timing to catch this man in his walking pose,seperated from the two under the umbrella.A great shot,with many,many fine details to view and well done in B&W,amazing contrast,too.
