Photographer’s Note
Can Tho - Mekong Delta
I had to row and prepare my settings on my camera at the same time when I saw these two women, dressed up in typical ao dai. This national costume consist of a tight-fitting silk tunic worn over pantaloons.
I was lucky to catch them as they were passing through a patch of light at that moment, otherwise they were mostly in shadow before and after this sequence.

Hello André,
I know it's not so easy to take good pictures in these usually dark waterways, but you managed a fine shot. The faded colours of the boat shine in the warm sunlight.

Bravo.

You did amazingly well composing this and rowing at the same time. It's even more difficult holding the camera for portrait format. I need two hands for that. The light is perfect and you even had the presence of mind to include the reflections. The detail and quality in the leaves is immaculate.

Hi Andre,
I like your framing leaving room for reflection. Silently floating boat disappearing between shadows of palmtrees, taking away the nymphs. Charming one.

Hello Andre,
What catches my attention firstly in this shot is the beautiful light perfectly highlighting the two girls in their boat as they drift towards the dark opening in the leaves which frames them so nicely. They are so graceful and everything seems so amazingly tranquil. Soft colours and gentle rippled reflections add to the overall peaceful mood of the shot. And the conicle hats and ao dai remind us that we are in Vietnam.
Were you really rowing?

Bonjour Andre
You mean you were rowing when you took this shot?!! Amazing frame created by the palm leaves, which bend down to almost touch the water. You've captured the paddlers in perfect position, along with their reflections in the rippled waters. Lovely capture!

Bonjour André.
I don't see how I managed to miss out on so many great shots in your gallery! This pic from my dear Can Tho is simple, but everything works. I like your framing, which leaves lots of room for the reflections on the water.
