Me, I was just passing by.

Because the car was half-way under a carport, the light almost look like coming from a studio softbox.

Hello André,

An old Jaguar out of the years 60 I think.
Very well maintenance, this was always a specially car under tyhe cars.
Very nice for look at.

Bonjour André,

C est vrai que le rendu semble etre celui d un poster de publicité avec un eclairage soigné en studio. C est joliment modulé. J aime bien la disparition progressive de l arriere plan dans l ombre, le choix d exposition etait bon.
Tu etais haut en iso? Je suppose avec une vitesse de 1/320 at f/5.6, le bruit n est pas visible sur ce post (du moins sur la taille TE).
Tu as une vue plus large montrant la femme fatale en robe rouge en train de monter dans cette voiture :-)

Jolies courbes des véhicules d'antan. Enfin ce n'est pas si vieux. J'aime beaucoup le cadrage vertical mettant en valeur la calandre et son projecteur. Le grain e la photo, malgré la petite taille du post, est impeccable.

Hello André,

Il me semble bien avoir vu la même voiture mais en état de décomposition avancé dans le cimetière de voiture de Kaufdorf, près de Berne. Il devait même y en avoir plusieurs. Je fouillerai dans mes archives pour retrouver ce modèle plein de rouille.
Par contre ta Jaguar semble rutilante et la composition avec cette diagonale "phare - insigne" rend hommage à cette vieille carrosserie.

so crisp and clear... i took some classical old car pics in a museum last weekend, but none of them looks so soft and chic like this one andre... beautiful car, breautiful close up with a good cropping... cheers... korkut

Et je croyais que tous les japonais avaient des voitures japonaises, lol. Celle-ci a beaucoup de classes, grâce à sa forme et couleur. J'aime beaucoup ton cadrage soigné. Belle nettété et joli bokeh (voilà quelque chose de japonais).

oui en effet c'est la lumière incroyable qui m'a attiré sur cette photo...Douce, feutrée...elle met particulièrement bien en valeur le véhicule....on dirait effectivement du boulot de studio.

Ooooh, Shiny!
Well observed POV and composition. Graphically this can take up a whole page on a magazine with tiny little text as th commercail for vintage cars. Love the colors. I think I'm gonna paint my room this colors :) rich, cool, very soothing and calm, easy on the eyes. Okay a little off track there. Back to the subject. Nice shallow DoF help us forcusing on the "Headlight" Hehe. Okay off track again. Oh what the heck, just really good shot and artistic presentation.

This is one of my favorite shots you've taken. There is something sensual about this shot...perhaps its the curves, the lines, the shapes?
And you're right, funny how it looks as if you took it in a studio due to the black at the top of the photo.

It takes a creative eye to see such things in life, you certainly have it.

I'm hoping you have more of these types to show in the future.

Curves of a different type my friend...excellent framing & focus just on the headlight of the gleaming Jag...very different, (inanimate objects do not find much place in your gallery...this is an exception, but there maybe people who would take exception about the 'inanimate' part :-)), very arty!

Sweet, it really is about light and form... it is delicate yet provocative. Would love to see more of this side of your work, much more captivating to me than so-called straight periodical photography.
