I was looking for sadhus in Pushkar.

Instead, I have found this nice brochette of colours, making ripples in the sacred lake.

Hello André,

Tu as trouvé un ensemble de très belles couleurs dans cette image. Elles contrastent à merveille avec les dalles et avec cette eau foncée. La diagonale est bien choisie mais l'image semble tout de même manquer d'un peu d'élément. Ou peut-être cette sensation de manque vient-elle du fait que ces femmes ont toutes le dos tournées, ce qui ferme l'image.
Malgré la diagonale attirante, peut-être le point de vue était-il perfectible...

Dynamic picture due to the general diagonal and the circles on the water. Vivid sarees colours (as usual in India) contrasting with the blue river.

moi,je sais bien qu'il est interdit de photographier sur les ghats de Pushkar,et qu'il n'y a pas moyen de faire autrement que de prendre les gens de dos,surtout les femmes(en tout cas,c'était comme ça la dernière fois que j'y suis allée)!Et ce qu'il y a d'important ici,ce sont ces superbes couleurs,que j'aime tant et qui m'émerveilent chaque fois que je suis en Inde!Les ronds dans l'eau sont aussi un superbe élément de la compo!

This is what happens when I let you go wandering by yourself...you capture beautiful colourful shots like this one ;o)
Great with the diagonal creating two distinct halves between the stairs and the water. Love the ripples and of course the colours of the sari's are a wonderful factor here and attract the eye to the image. I also like that they are sort of in two groups of two, seperate but in a way still together. A splendid colourful daily life ritual scene.

Thats the best aspect about photography..you never know what hits you..what the surrounding has in store for you..i mean whats the excitement if i know round the bend i will find the sadhus and make the photograph no man has ever made before..

You anticipate...act and react and you get a beautiful photo like this one Andre..the ripples seem mystical..dont they..

Such is the value of the photo..

Great graphics, like an exercise/example in composition: a strong diagonal to divide the frame, and four coloursful dots. The ripples on the water provide the finishing touch. Gaga!

A fine shot from Pushkar...a place I'm yet to visit. Good diagonal compo. with the typical Indian colours of the sarees contrasting with the blue of the water. The semi-circular ripples also add to the beauty of the shot. Interesting to see the 4 women in different coloured dresses...but that's colourful India! Fine shot my friend!
