Photographer’s Note

Under a crushing sun, the old cow-boy took again his breath.
The day had not been hard to smoke of the cigars and to remake the world.
The grids of Trinidad had like him,makes the revolution. But today times had changed.
The ideals had failed. One needed tickets for a piece of soap, and even an authorization to sing a song.

Then, just like the grids, the old cow-boy looked at the tourists. Ideas crossed its spirit well, but why for ? Then he took again his breath.

Sous un soleil écrasant, le vieux cow-boy reprenait son souffle. La journée n’avait pas été rude à fumer des cigares et à refaire le monde.
Les grilles de Trinidad avaient comme lui fait la révolution.

Mais aujourd’hui les temps avaient changés. Les idéaux avaient échoués. Il fallait des tickets pour un morceau de savon, et même une autorisation pour chanter une chanson.

Alors, tout comme les grilles, le vieux cow-boy regardait les touristes. Des idées traversaient bien son esprit, mais à quoi bon.
Alors il reprenait son souffle.

En Russie, ils ont Poutine. A Cuba, nous avons le grand 'hijo de Putà'. Sale temps pour les cow-boys...
La ville de Trinidad a l'air magnifique.

i like this image with the man looking out of the photo - it makes you wonder what is there - Is it another photo opportunity? Trinidad is one of those places that you should not miss when you visit Cuba. This photo captures the spirit of the palce.

This is a great contemplative picture;
the note adds an idea but that is not really a must. I like it very much; the downwards line and the rythm of the fence is great.
The man looks like disappointed and tired; he is staring in remembrances (like the note suggests).
Very good; a favorite for me.

Une belle composition avec le graphisme de la grille et des pavès au sol qui forment une jolie diagonale. Même avec la lumière dure, ça donne un bel ensemble avec cet homme au chapeau.

Hello Bertrand,
tu aimes placer les personnages dans le bord de l'image et qui regarde à l'extérieur (je me souviens de la jeune cambodgienne sur fond de mur jaune).
Ici ça fonctionne bien amha.
J'aime le graphisme avec la barière, le poteau et la route descendante.
La seule chose que je regrette est la lumière un peu dure.

Hi Bertrand, A good capture of the cowboy and the way he catch up his breath. I like the fun looking of the fence on the background. The inclusion of the empty can show the city is not too far away from the current modern life. A nicely captured picture.

Tres onne encadrement. J'aime bien le grillage. Cest marrant comment en Cuba ilya des gens que semblent attendre quelque chose, et des autres que sont toujours en train de faire quelque chose.

La photo numérisée ressort à merveille. Elle n'a pas pris une ride. Les couleurs sont superbes (douces à souhait). Le cadrage met parfaitement en valeur le "vieux cow-boy".
Une très belle composition avec une note d'accompagnement réussie.

La reflexion est sympa et l'image lui va très bien, c'est vraiment bien fait avec cette ligne de grilles qui nous amène au cubain.
Les lignes sont bien trouvées et la qualité parfaite.
