Sous les vagues mortelles,
il reste encore des hommes courageux.
Ils montent sur des échasses.
Ils bravent l'écume.
Ils restent des heures à chasser la sardine.
Ils se brûlent au soleil.
Ils cherchent quelques roupies dans ces eaux tumultueuses.

Under the mortals waves, there remain still courageous men.
They go up on stilts.
They face scum.
They remain hours to drive out sardines.
They burn themselves with the sun.
They seek for few rupees in this tumultuous water.

tu as entendu bien sûr les 16 personnes d'ACF? j'aurais aimé croire qu'après la catastrophe les hommes du nord et sud se seraient rapprochés! mais je suis très crédule...

Joli instant, j'aime la position de cet homme ! Bonne focale, avec l'écume des vagues floue en arrière plan, son foulard autour de la tête donne une pointe de couleur à la composition.

Intéressante vue, le pêcheur dont la position doit être inconfortable est parfaitement mis en valeur, focus excellent et bel arrière plan que l'on devine avec de grosses vagues. Belle prise de cette scène peu commune.

Elle a l'air bien déchaînée cette mer, du moins au delà des récifs derrière lesquels ce pêcheur s'abrite.
Une position peu confortable pour moi, mais peut-être l'est-elle pour lui, question d'habitude, au moins fait-il beau.
Un bon emploi d'une DOF réduite de par le zooming.

ça ne semble pas hyper confortable pour pêcher des heures...
En tout cas c'est une technique impressionnante.
Tu aurais pu cadrer un peu plus à gauche amha, la partie droite est un peu vide et ça aurait un peu décentrer le pêcheur.
ça reste une image plaisante.

Oh my God, what a life sitting there over hours day by day, being concentrated on this work and the wide sea around him. Even if he has that dark skin I wonder if he doesn't need any protection from the sun.

Bonsoir Bertrand,
Me permets-tu de faire une petite parenthèse humoristique mais pas méchante bien sûr, ce n'est pas mon style.. Quand j'ai ouvert ta photo j'ai tout de suite pensé à Koh-lanta (jeu sur TF1) où ils doivent parfois réaliser ce genre d'épreuve..!
Pour lui ici, c’est aussi une épreuve mais il ne gagne pas la gloire, mais tout simplement la nourriture d'un jour..!Tout comme toi j’ai également mangé dans ces pays d’Afrique ou d'Asie et je te pose une question ?..Crois tu que les gens se rendent compte que l’on mange trop bien chez nous et que nous avons beaucoup de chance ?
Excuse moi,j'avais presque oublier de commenter ta photo,dois je le faire Bertrand sachant que tu as très souvent des jolies photos(pas tout le temps..et non..!Ce n'est pas possible sinon je manquerais de personnalité,tout est une question de goût bien sûr..)
ps:je n'ajoute rien au panier cette fois-ci?...A moins que tu veux que j'y met la FAIM..?

Les photos de ces hommes qui passent des heures sur des échasses pour pêcher m'impressionnent toujours et il en va de même pour celle-ci. Les bokehs d'avant et d'arrière plan permettent de bien mettre en valeur cet homme, éclairé par une belle lumière. Mais je vois qu'il n'est pas tout seul et qu'un oiseau lui tient compagnie! :o)

J'aurais plaçé cette image dans la partie decisive moment car on se demande si ce pêcheur-équilibriste ne va pas tomber. Ton point de vue est superbement choisi. Le focus est top et la vague en arrière plan laisse bien resortir le sujet !

This is something really interesting you are showing us. The pose of the man is very indifferent from other fisherman and I have never seen such kind of processes to catch fishes. The blurred wave in the background is interesting too .

Eventhough it is a hard life as you describe in you rnote, it is nice to see this form of fishing is still being used. The approaching wave makes this a great decisive moment shot.

Une image superbe par sa réalisation et sa composition, ainsi que par son intérêt. Comment ces hommes peuvent-ils rester dans de telles postures pendant des heures ?
Concernant la technique, l'emploi du téléobjectif t'a bien permis de détacher ton sujet de l'arrière plan qui est bien flouté.
J'aurais peut-être juste coupé un petit bout à droite pour décentrer un peu le personnage.
Un belle image.

Très belle dof ici qui laisse bien ressortir cet homme et ces piquets.
Par contre....je comprends pas trop ce que t'as voulu faire sur ce premier piquet à droite....complètement loupé ! domage.
Breaf, ca ne dérange en rien tout ce qui se passe à gauche et cet homme dans cette position étrange et posé à cet endroit.
La touche de rose apporte beaucoup ici.

This man would surely qualify as a candidate for most leading fire departments of the world...I like the clarity, the dynamics, and the overall exposure level. J'arrive un peu tard sur cette image mais qu'importe elle absolument superbe !!!
C'est vrai que la position de l'homme est assez impressionnante mais ce que j'adore le plus, c'est cette immense vague que l'on devine dans le bokeh et qui arrive sur ce pêcheur courageux.
La netteté est irréprochable !!

J'aime beaucoup cette photo. La mise au point est super. Juste un petit soucis sur le poteau au premier plan à droite : seule une partie est floue. Je ne peux en deviner la raison. une idée?.
A part ça j'espère qu'il arrive à prendre suffisamment de sardines, parcequ'il semble le mériter.
