Photographer’s Note
It’s fascinating to see some vibrant cities like Hong Kong, where skyscrapers seems to come out every now and then to redefine the landscape.
But in these modern megapoles, there’s also some remnants of the past, crippled buildings and abandonned structures that still contributes to the personality of these cities.
Here, I’ve found this very interesting wall, few feets from a large condominium development, that I guess they are trying to hide with plants and new street surface.
But the wall stand still, just like these two old men.

Bonjour,

love this composition with the two old men. firstly, the red colors that are almost synonumous with china have been well depicted. secondly, love the way you put the two oldies on either side and moving opposite to each other into the frame. the earthen vessels make nice obejcts for the frame.

Very well composed Andre. I thought I've seen this yesterday but a little darker. Is it true? I was about to tell you that your editing computer might be a bit too bright causing all your latest pictures to appear dark but this one is perfect. Lovely moment captured here with two vases and two men in different plans. On can really feel the space in this photo of yours. It's indeed a great composition.

Thank goodness there are people like Luis to scan TE for us...this one stood out from his latest critiques...
There is something really nice abut this photograph...perhaps it is the absent expressions on their faces, I am almost definately attracted to that vivid red amongst the concrete and otherwise dull background. I imagine this way slightly difficult to compose, due to all those lines...also cropping. However, I think everything looks neat and tidy here...

I thought that the Great Wall of China was more impressive, André. I doubt that this can be seen from the moon ;-)
It's a great moment of sincronicity, captured at the right second. Love the symetry and interplay of 'here' and 'there'. It really gives a lot of depth in a view that doesn't have much depth. The vases help to that symetry although they also seem the only out of place objects seen here. Well chosen POV. Great shot!

你好 Andre,
再见,
Jean-Yves

Hi Andre , i like a lot this image, with the old men walking in opposite directions, and with a good background..
The chinese words give a graphic impact to the image...
A sense of sadness from this image..
ciao!

Hi Andre,
I like the movement of the old men, and the contrast between the new and the old. Very well seen and composed. It is good to see that there are still a few old things left in this modern day and age.

Bonsoir Andre,
