Hi,
Really nice shot, you can really see how concentrated she is, nice compo dividing the picture into two, one half for the girl, one half for the animal. The goat is totally anonymous, one gets the sense that she's done this a million times before and with many other goats. It's nice that you caught the little details like the bracelets and the Fula/Peul (?) earrings.

Bonjour, Bertrand. C'est plus que de la proximité, c'est presaque de l'intimité. La chèvre et la jeune fille sont vraiment proches l'une de l'autre. La mise au point est parfaite et on remarque la concentration de la gamine sur le jet de lait qui doit abotir dans le bol. Un excellent bokeh avec de belles teintes vertes.

hello Bertrand,
I love the story here. The girl dutifully concentrates on her domestic task yet we see that another side to her. She has carefully braided hair, earrings and bracelets and these thing show she takes care of herself as well as her animal charge.

Le DOF parfait se fane le fond et laisse le détail pointu en cette photo bien-encadrée. Vous avez inclus exactement les éléments qui sont essentiels et rien plus. Car j'écris ceci, je réalise qui est la clef à vos photographies intensément en mouvement. Pas qu'I expecty pour pouvoir faire ceci moi-même ; Je pense qu'il exige un oeil truely artistique. SAJ, Pat
The perfect DOF fades the background and leaves sharp detail in this well-framed photo. You have included exactly the elements that are essential and nothing more. As I write this, I realize that is the key to your intensely moving photographs. Not that I expecty to be able to do this myself; I think it requires a truely artitistic eye.

This picture cathc my attention, because the beutiful contast of the background, the floor, the child and the goat, this is a very nice composition, I like it very much, the motion-static in this picture is intersting, the motion is the milk shottong in the air and the static is the girl and the goat, she is concentrade as you said, I like it, very good work.

comme tu le dis, il y a des coins où les enfants grandissent plus vite (quand ils peuvent grandir).

It's always a pleasure to visit your gallery, Bertrand - there is so much variety. As usual I dart back and forth between the images trying to choose one to critique. I saw this one a few times in the thumbnails, but it wasn't until I opened it just now did I realise what a technically excellent photograph this is, as well as being a superb daily life shot. Perfect timing and composition - National Geographic standard without a doubt!
