Photographer’s Note

Since I've been attacked by this cobra (this is where my nickname come from...), I tend to use telephoto lenses when shooting vicious animals, rather than putting myself in danger... :-P)

But in this case, I thought a swan would be gentle and wouldn't represent a threat... Well, I was totally wrong and eventually, this horrible beast was trying to feed on my right ear, while I was laying flat on my chest to shoot the scene...

The building you can see behind is the Beguinage, a collection of small buildings used by Beguines, a sisterhood of religious women who sought to serve God without retiring from the world.

I suspect that they trained these swans for their own protection, like if they were pitbulls... Grrrr!
