Je l'ai déjà mentionné lors de la publication d'autres photos de geisha, mais d'apercevoir ces trésors vivants est vraiment impressionnant.

Il ne s'agit pas d'un personnage dans un cirque ou du Père Noël dans une parade; c'est l'incarnation d'une tradition séculaire, un anachronisme fascinant.

Salut André

Elle est d'une beauté incroyable. Quelle allure !
La fierté est palpable, grâce au gracieux port de tête.
Le fond de blanc est bienvenu pour mettre en valeur son habit traditionnel, dont on admire le motif et les belles couleurs.
Perso, je n'essaierais pas les chaussures !
Joli portrait, bravo.

C'est hallucinant comme ta photo m'a renvoyée directement au film "Memoirs of a Geisha".

J'y retrouve la grace, les couleurs, et les sacrifices qu'il a fallut que cette dame fasse pour avoir le droit de porter ce titre. Je connaissais rien de cet enseignement avant d'avoir vu le film... ( même s'il est peut être romancé), en voyant ta photo, je m'aperçois combien tous les détails étaient présents.

Le fond blanc fait ressortir les soieries, les couleurs et le maquillage.
Quant aux chaussures, comme Karine², je ne m'y risquerai pas... je garde mes tongues ça gène personne? :)

As tu discuté avec elle? ou juste pris la photo "en passant"?.

La composition est fine et très élégante.
Elle est digne d'un documentaire sur les geishas (?). En tout cas, la netteté est au RDV avec une couleur sublime.

Bonjour André,

Une dame absolument fascinante de sophistication. Il faut un temps fou pour être habillé comme ceci. les couleurs sont absolument magnifiques, et tu as aligné les pavés du sol et le montant noir au millimètre. Les chaussures ne doivent pas être un accessoire pour les 100 m des jeux olympiques!

Une telle rencontre doit être troublante et pourtant tu as pris le temps pour faire un cadrage et des réglages impeccables. Comment rester de glace (même un canadien!) devant tant de grâce? Très belle photo!

Etonnante coutume ! Je trouve les vêtements incroyables ! Ces couleurs éclatantes qui percent l'image surtout sur ce fond blanc ! Tu l'as saisi au bon moment et dans la bonne position bien qu'un trois quart aurait fait apparaître les traits de son visage de manière plus clair.

Je me demande tout de même le temps qu'il lui a fallu pour s'équiper de la sorte ?
C'est incroyable le souci du détail !

Superb and deceptively simple photo. You have composed/cropped this perfectly to place the woman just in the right part of the frame. I like the various lines and textures of the path and the wall, and the way your frame echoes the timber vertical in the picture. Nice colours and good exposure. She looks almost doll-like.

Wonderful photo of a geisha continuing an unprizable tradition. I respect lives of geishas as they are given shape by deep tradition. Way they dress, way they use makeup, way they walk-talk-dance, way they live... A great concept of admiration.
I know that neck is a gentle way of decollete for geisha wearings, but I didn't notice before they use less powder for their neck.

Hi Andre,
The bold black line is a great part of the composition as it frames her very well and divides the shot into segments which I like. Her bright clothes really stand our from the plain background making us focus on them, and the sharpness is perfect here. I have always found these ladies fascinating and its good to see that some traditions are still kept alive. Nice work!

Hi André. I appreciate your attention to their footwear. You freeze-framed a perfect moment showing the feet and the angle, witnessing a great amount of engineering behind the design. Funny and clever title, although I am not very sure that this Gheisha is familiar with Nancy Sinatra! Excellent, colourful and joyful portrait, great daily life scene! Your tight framing is perfect and I think that you have put intentionally your "model" on the left part of the frame, leaving her "space" to "move" to the right. Congratulations!

Though most photos of the geisha (to tell the truth, maiko) seen on TE are makeover maiko, I cannot distinguish whether she in your phoyo is a real maiko.
You got very nice this traditional image with a composition that effectively uses black pillar, an appropriate background for her is carefully chosen.
