Photographer's Note

I took the last Ferry from Liberty Island back to Liberty State Park in Jersey City. After a few minutes stop at Ellis Island to pick up the tourists, we continued the trip to Jersey City. The ferry was not as crowded as the one to New York City. By the time we arrived at the park, the sun had already set. I decided to spend a few more minutes along the Hudson River Waterfront. It was almost deserted with one or 2 photographers waiting with their tripods to capture The beautiful NYC buildings across the river. I didn't have a tripod. It was a bit chilly with stronger winds. As I exited to the parking lot, I took this shot of the park with lampposts. You can see lower Manhattan with freedom tower in the back.

Liberty State Park , a beautiful park ,is a green oasis, over 1212 acres in the middle of Jersey City. The views of Manhattan, Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty are spectacular. Great place for bikng, flying kites, fishing and other activities.
