This is Northern Finland, Lappland. Sodankylä. The church is the oldest wooden church in the Finnish part of Sami territory. It was built in 1689.

John, we are really reliving all your past travels to wonderful places here. This one gave me an idea for a WS from the thumb, and more ideas when I had it open. I love the quiet atmosphere and hope not to have destroyed with my Workshop.

Il ya a un truc qui penche à droite ou il ya aun pb de perspective.
Pour le reste bonen composition , j'iame bien cette eglise et la forme qui la comporse on dirait qu'il y a des volets qui sont fermé a des fenetres !
Belle architecture.
J'aurais en revanche coupé le petit bout d'arbres à gauche

Mooie foto John, zeer mooi detail is het kerkhof allemaal met de zelfde bloemen. Zeer goed gedaan.

It amazes me that after all these years, the church is still so well preserved and perfectly maintained. I don't know if those graves are new?, but if they are, I am even more amazed that they would have space! The architecture is quite quaint, and the colours lovely. A pity it is slightly tilted though!
