I would like to add some comments about Bagan after a recent visit - it is the most stunning archeological site I have ever seen. Bagan is on a about a 40sq mile plain in a bend on the Irrawaddy River. In the site is around 2,300 standing stupas and temples surronded by an ancient wall. The site dates back to the 10th century. It really is a must see!!!
