Hi Karl, Thanks for sharing this image. I'm envious of you standing in such a fantastic location. I like this image and I think it works well in b+w. I think it is well balanced exposure. I tend to agree with 'papaphoto', the old shed detracts from the shot a little but not a lot you could do about that. If I may be a bit picky; there look to be a couple of sensor dust spots in the clouds. Overall it's a nice shot that I would be pleased with. Dave.

Nigel, The picure title says it all. I love the clear unclutterd view and simple composition. What can you say about the light? Fantastic. I wish I worked where you do! My one and only pre-dawn trip to Banburgh fell very flat. I'm truly envious. compassclark put me on to TE and said to look out for your images. I won't critique them all but you definately have a skill (and can get up in the mornings!) I look forward to viewing other images. David.

Nice colour and compostion with the rocks leading you to the reflection. As Nigel said, must be an evening shot! David.

It's the quality of the light that makes this image. I wonder if a more broody sky might help if converting to black and white. Nice shot though Karl and I think I know that hut! David
