A splendid capture of this bridge. Too bad that the first view on the page is so small, but when I right-click the image and click "show image" I get a much larger and detailed photo. For example, it's easy to overlook the man standing on the bank on the other side of Gardon. It's a pity, because he's a nice addition and really shows the scale of the aqueduct. I like the POV you've used and the trees to the left is a nice inclusion. Very well done.

A beautiful capture of one of my favorite aircraft. The way you've paned the camera gives a "nice clean shot" of the aircraft, while the blurred background is creating the illusion of speed, underlined by the visible motion of the propellers. Beautiful clean colors and I like how you've cropped the image; top and bottom to fit the aircraft, yet leaving space for it to "fly into". Well done!

One of the best shots of this crypt, Krzysztof, that I've ever seen. You've managed the difficult light in a magnificent way. And the sharpness is excellent. Together they even create the illusion of the sarcophagus to be floating in the air. Very well done!

Again a striking capture of a cargo train in the desert. I like your low POV and how the train seem to evolve out of the ground. The dominating red front of the engine against this backdrop is appealing and the blur from the exhaust fumes show that it's really working hard. Very well done!

Wow, this is a great one, Len. Amazing clarity and a well-balanced composition. Nice colors. I like how you've shot it from outside the curve, emphasizing the engine(s) and then revealing the rest of the train.

An impressive series of shots, Mikio, where the concentration of the archer is well shown. It's almost possible to follow the ritual movements in preparation for the shot.

I've heard a lot about Japanese archery and how it's executed by the Buddhist monks. Blindfolded, so they won't be swayed by their eyes. The eye that leads the hand...

I'm a sucker(?) for Towers, Finlay, and the more peculiar the better. And this one definitely goes into the collection.

You've captured the sturdiness very well and the two different styles of architecture are well shown. Somehow I fancy the bottom to be very British and the top to be more continental Europe.

I like very much that the sky, although gray, show a lot of texture. A step to the left might have excluded the white sign, which is cut, but that's a minor detail. Well done!

Wo, wo, wo! This was a scary shot, Andrew, opening it was sending chills down my spine. And scrolling it from below, I wasn't quite ready to face the guillotine!! The narrow path - literally a death row - leading up to it is the very essence of claustrophobia. And your shot really mediates that intense feeling of horror. There's only one way out, and that is with your head chopped off! A great shot - very well done!

It seems you're trying to sneak in (on TE) some shots, which are somewhat outside your road often traveled. Showing a more mellow side of Vietnam, rather than the bright sparkling side of Hong Kong (not that Vietnam can't be bright and sparkling or Hong Kong can't be mellow). Anyhow I find it appealing.

Nice to see you back, Andrew. I hope all is well (and I suppose it is) on the Eastern Front. Best regards.

Again you show us your love for the sea, Andrew. Are you a sailor stuck on shore? (I live 10 kms inland and that's too far for me.) And as someone loving and longing for the sea, you show it well. Magically all lines - the boats, the clouds and the mountains - direct my eyes toward the setting sun; not to the sun itself, rather to the reflection, which is easier on the eye. And nothing interferes with that reflection. Very well done!

The word "dumbbell-shaped" confuses me. It's not included in my dictionary and my thoughts that it could be "crescent-shaped" do not correspond with your map reference.

A marvelous - and at the same time somewhat intimidating - look down the crater, Jacques. The lake look wonderful and you've managed to capture the steep slopes well, including just a glimmer of the foreground. And those clouds really completes the impression. Very well done!

Very nicely done Shelly. Good crisp focus and DOF. Lighting is just right with a nice bokeh. The position of the bird in the frame is spot on. This is my kind of pic. :)
