Interesting beast with the colour of her dress matching the red roofs of Sveti Stefan. I don't think she's much bothered to have her picture in your camera sensor as well...
Like the curve of the sea line...draws our eyes into the Sveti Stefan

Great POV from the tower giving a real bird's eye view of this beautiful city. I remember they allowed to get up the Bell tower of the cathedral as well from where you can get a fine view of the square

Actually we used a car to get up here...and its indeed a fascinating view from here. We stayed here past sunset savouring the beauty of the walled city light up.
This is a wonderful picture of the polygonal (loosely) structure of Dubrovnik

Picture perfect postcard from Budva...No picture of Budva cannot be complete without this statue...Nice pastel hues in the BG.
I honestly didn't like this place so much with the uninhabited 'development' and rampant encroachments onto the beach. The place smells money

Nice high POV from where the lit up bell towers and the dome contrast well with the semi-darkness. Awesome exposure
Postcard-istically speaking, this picture could be from any where in Europe...it does not have the Dubrovnik stamp on it

I think the mountains create a fine backdrop for the famous bridge & the minaret. Fine blue hour shot. Apart from the above, its interesting to see specks of light in the lower slope of the hill behind. Good exposure & work!

I am breaking my TE silence to applaud your latest posts.
I love this long view of promenade..indeed one of the main attractions of this small town. We can see the bridge which we used to go to the other island & on the left the old town. Actually we never got up this castle & hence missed this awesome view. Crisp & crystal clear which is the Mariusz trademark!

This takes me back to my days of enjoying black and white film and experimenting in the dark room. Love the grain, love the feel of this image, love the grittiness, love the lonely feel. it really resembles something from another far forgotten era.

I love the colours and textures here which add great character to the scene. Of course the bike and the man in the doorway finish it off so well. I like your angle of view to add perspective and a diagonal in the composition which is pleasing. Looks like a very photogenic place.

Hi Gert,
I can understand fully why you find it hard to leave India, It is a fascinating and wonderful place, one that I would happily return to time an again. Beautiful temples here, and it is amazing to think how long they have been standing there and hopefully will continue to do so. Thanks for sharing your memories of these kind of places. Perhaps as the world keeps modernising at such a rapid rate, and things are destroyed for no reason, eventually memories and photo's might be all that we have left of some special places that once were.

This shot for me almost has a melancholy feeling. I like the silhouetted wind blown trees that are so crooked, and the solitary runner adds a touch of life to the scene. The choice of black and white suits the subject matter well.

What I like most about this shot is the very low POV and very wide angle that you have chosen. It adds a real dynamism and uniqueness to the image. I also like to see the traditional architecture in the background, setting the scene and acting as a nice canvas for the two characters that fill the frame so well in their placement in it. A nice slice of street life.

When I think about carnival, Brazil always comes to mind, so it is interesting to know that Japan also has one. I like this dynamic and colourful portrait of this lady in all her finery. Nice that she has spotted you and that she is acknowledging you. Good composition with the feathers filling the frame.
