    Hi Pavle
this is a very interesting visual. We don't see many monument type shots like this from you - its a pleasant surprise.
having all the tall street lights surrounding it adds SO much to the overall experience. its as if the monument is talking and interacting with them. Great shot from back here. cheers

    Hi Abmdsudi
you seem to have a never ending supply of great photos :)
Here we see another. The best part of this shot has to be the low cloud coverage...or at least it appears this way as you took this shot quite low yourself. powerful image. great scene of daily life in this part of the world.

    Hi Jean
wonderful post, its very easy to see why so many TE members have already made comments on this one. Obviously both shots and scenes are beautiful in their own way, but the autumn version just has to be the better of the two. great to have the people down there as well, for scale. awesome

    Hi Malgo
wow, great subject! I really enjoy WS #2 the most.
after reading your note, i'm even more impressed. Funny how there are such amazing places on Earth that hardly anybody knows about. Perhaps if this site was easily accessible like Stonehedge, it would be more popular and more well known in general. what a great TE post Malgo, seriously, I have 100% learned something new today and I will never forget this 3000 year older 'stonehenge'. fantastic

    Hi Gert
reminds me a little bit of the famous Beetles shot of them walking across the street hahaha. Did you plan this shot? did you ask them to walk like this? just kidding of course. It was taken 44 years ago, so its natural to wonder how the lives of these women turned out, and we'll never know. and i'm having a hard time figuring out if they're very young here or much older, its actually very difficult to tell. I get the sense too, that this is a regular routine for them, perhaps a daily trip. I wouldn't want to walk on that road with those slim flip flops. good capture, visually interesting for obvious reasons. cheers

    Hi Loong
great looking outdoor exhibition. I'd have lots of fun shooting these scenes. having that person walk by is actually vital to your scene, puts everything into scale/perspective.
our eyes naturally drift from right to left, visually pleasing.
    good one. cheers

    Hi Paul
I like how you say its best seen in one day...its a nice way of saying its too boring over 2 days haha. In one of the WS photos, it gave me the feeling that i'm looking at some logging site or construction site that is just in the beginning stages, not much here to look at. you say the boats are fairly comfortable, I get the feeling there aren't many things to do on these boats, so ya, one day is long enough for me as well. Very interesting note to go along with the shots. excellent TE post as always

    Hi Ike
sometimes we just HAVE to get that classic shot for our own personal galleries :) Looking at this it makes me wonder how it would look from the birds eye view from my drone. interesting to see the people at the top, and the exposure/sharpness is perfect. The only thing I'd change is placing the tower closer to either side of the frame so it's not in the middle - but that's so easily done in post processing. clear and bright, the clouds help out too. Nice one. cheers

    Hi Bev
to answer your question...no...our hotel wasn't close to the main sites in Rome...well, it's walking distance but it's a good 20-30 min walk. It's not like it was just out the front door and take the first left, it was a substantial walk. I take my night/blue hour photography seriously, so lugging around my tripod isn't even a question - its a given, I just deal with it. I make sacrifices of what ELSE do I not bring. The odd time when I don't bring the tripod, I always regret it. As for your shot here, I chose it because I don't recognize the view. Just goes to show there are so many great Manhattan/NY places to take photos. what is that large tall structure? Looks so out of place, its massive. cool shot, nice setup composition wise with the depth, and the empty space on the lower left. In the end it's all balanced out. where are all the people? haha
    cheers

    Hi Chris
its funny, without even looking at the country, I took one look at this and said to myself...I think that's Portugal. Immediately it brought back a flood of memories, even though this is a city I didn't get to see in person. interesting how the door on the far right is elevated almost a foot off the ground, yet the next door down is much lower. I wonder why.
classic shot of these exteriors. looks sweet in this light.

I'll have to check my own shots from this city as well, I got the feeling there are a few more I could post. this is great, what a great view in the vertical format here. the leaning perspective is attractive, as is that yellow little building with the steep roofline.
