    Hello Silvio,
Such dovecote towers seem to be quite common in Italy, but I have never seen any in my country, so they look quite exotic and attractive to my eyes. This looks generally like a nice farm with the tower covered with pigeons as an eye-catching feature. The photo is well exposed and full of attractive details.

    Hello Ike,
The perfect sky provided a good background for this elegant and minimalistic photo. We get a far better look at the pilot than in most of your airplane photos, and I would say it's also an aesthetically more pleasing shot than those you catch at the airports.

    Hello Malgo,
This photo shows once again what a great difference it makes to look at the enlarged version. The details become so much clearer and sharper. It is really worth the very small trouble. This is a stunning view, also in the WS where the cloud sinks down on the houses and the one where people are standing by the large sign (so many towns have built such signs in recent years; I am happy as long as there isn't any in Stockholm).
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Chris,
The blue hour darkness hides some of the less beautiful parts of the city seen in the link. Your photo actually makes the fairly dull city look very cosy. The good exposure captures many nice blue and almost black tones.

    Hello Pierre,
This is not a photo I would immediately think of from Rome, but with a river cutting straight through the city, and huge crowds of tourists, it is of course a very natural view. The boats are of different styles and sizes and provide a bright area between the grey wall and the grey river. They are also nicely reflected.

This is an interesting modernized version of the traditional Egyptian figures. A bit similar, but actually rather different. The photo is well cropped and the sepia tone was probably a good idea.

    Hello Ian,
These sightseeing boats seem to have multiplied and become much brighter and more "exotic" since 1993. I remember renting a very ordinary house boat with the family still inside. Both photos today are nicely composed with diagonal accents and green on top, brown below. In the WS also a generous area of grey at the very top. Sharpness perfect as usual.

    Gert

    Hello Murat,
Clifford somehow managed to get inside his house, but will he manage to get out again? He looks too fat for the small entrance. My second thought: Is he edible? The houses in the WS are more conventional but nicely built, but not as bright as this.

    Hello Luciano,
Although you didn't follow the ladies inside the town hall, it was a good thing to include them in the photo at the entrance. It would have been a rather dead photo without them, so they make a big change, and they are well placed. Especially the blonde woman looks good against the darkness inside the entrance. The façade has many fine details of persons and animals, as the WS also show. The good light also serves the photo well.

    Hello Luis,
For fairly obvious reasons this magnificent aqueduct remains my strongest memory of the one day I spent in Segovia more than 37 years ago. In fact, it's almost my only memory of the city, but I think some of the immediate surroundings have changed since then. From this fairly long distance we get an excellent wide view of the masterpiece of Roman architecture, showing us its place in the modern city. The young couple provide a perfect foreground, not least because the lady is dressed in red . The photo has a superb clarity and very good colours.
    Kind regards,
    Gert

    Hello Kari,
It's a very nice view and a well composed photo. The church tower rises high above the red roofs of different characters, which provide a fine contrast to the trees, bushes and the plants covering the city wall. Through the gap we get a nice view of some people whose way of dressing show us it was still a warm summer day. The vertical crop is very neat.

    Hello Chris,
I saw this photo by coincidence. The path and the wooden fences create fine depth and lead my eyes up to the hills where the ancient kings were buried. Without the note or prior knowledge it would have been a nice rural scenery, now it's a nice view of Swedish cultural heritage. The fine colours and light are perfect complements to the good composition.

    Hello Bev,
Fresh snow looks nice as long as it lasts. I am not surprised to learn that this view now belongs to history. The photo benefits greatly from the many bushes, flower pots and other items that look so different when covered with a thick layer of snow. The steps in the WS look rather steep and possibly dangerous when slippery.

    Hello Malgo,
These photos are all interesting, but you had a difficult choice of main upload, since you couldn't get all the important details in one photo. As you point out in the note, they together make the story. The main photo has the most dramatic view of the steep rocks and the nearest monastery. Even so I prefer WS #2 where we see the "cable car" and get a visual explanation of the wires. There is also a good view of another monastery in the background and a better light than in the main photo. WS #1 shows us the wires going across the ravine and also straight down, but without any carts.
Photographically difficult but an interesting trio. A link to a short movie would have done well.
    Kind regards,
    Gert
