Hi John,
I remember I was looking for something different. It is hardly difficult these days to find good church/cathedral photos. I intentionally pointed the camera a couple of meters above my head in order to emphasise the vertical stonework. I also remember wanting something on the photo that was from both sides of the arch at the top.

Definitely no tripod, I made a great effort to keep it as steady as possible and in fact I surprised myself!
