Hi Benny,
It's not difficult to enjoy being in Vietnam as you will know!
I should still be here in August so drop me an email if you need any info before you get here.
Cheers

To robiuk: workshop

Then a pair of fresh eyes come along and improve it with a simple crop.
A vast improvement - many...

To ViktorVaughn: Resizing

Hi David,
Thanks for the comment.
I have tried to post at the larger size but always get the error message saying the file size is too large. And sometimes when I reduce the images the quality...

To robiuk: HCM

Hi Robi,

Ta for the comment. Yes, I'm in Ho Chi Minh at the moment, which is saturated with cheap, fast, reliable wi-fi. It's a great city and I hope to stay awhile.
Hope it's not too miserable...

To kensimage: Typical day!

Apart from usually taking ice in my drinks (depending where I am), you've accurately summed up my typical day - pho for breakfast, iced coffees and simply enjoying being in a Vietnam that's changing...

To redrash: Grass

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the comment. I should have mentioned in the note that in the field was a rape seed crop just coming into bloom, so the yellow flowers were just opening. If I had been there the...

To ben4321: Drat!!

Hi Ben,
Thanks for your comments (even though it means I'll have to remove it from my theme of photos no-one likes - and in a perverse way....b*gger! :>)).
I know I don't use my digital SLR...

To fijiphil: Sharp eyes!

Hi Phillip.
I wanted to disagree with you as I can't see the line around his head on my laptop at home, but when I checked it at work you're right - I've oversharpened another one - so back to the...

Re: To ben4321: previous post

Hi Robi,

I know what you mean and have thought the same.
But maybe if you can't find anything to like or dislike about a photo it's sometimes better not to leave a comment at all....maybe that...

Re: To BrianGraney: Porridge

Hi Ben,

Not been inside (well, only the inside of my house!), but just too busy - I'm off on a career-break in September for 12 months so have been getting the house ready for renting and sorting...

To Glint: 400D

Hi Bev,

I'm very pleased with the 350D, and I was very pleased with the 300D before that!
I like the improvements Canon seem to have made to the 400D - the larger display screen, the...

Re: To BrianGraney: Salakaewkoo

Hi Mike,

I've done a quick workshop but I'm no Photoshop expert, I've just picked up a few hints from other people on here!
Still, I think you can see an improvement in the image. You can go too...

To rushfan2112: Thanks

Hi Paul,

Seems we're both singing from the same hymsheet, but we'll have to park that thought because we have to take a bite of a reality sandwich tomorrow and go back to synergising and...

To t0mmm1: Adam....

Hi Tommi,

Thanks for your comment. Yes I saw Michelangelo in this too, and almost gave it the title "Adam's ticket". I thought it may be a bit obscure, though: I'm pleased you could see it too!

Hi Kaj,

I almost didn't take the lens with me to Vietnam, but since I had never used it I thought I should make room for it.....and I used it every day!

Yes - thanks for your comment, and well-spotted.
There is a tilt to the left, but it was either that or the reeds looking as though they were bending too much to the right.....!
Best wishes
