John mentioned yesterday that he cannot visit the tulip fields this year even thought they are only 5kms away from his house. the regulations to cross the border are too prohibiting at the moment....

It is compulsory to wear a masks in all shops, public transport and public buildings, but not in markets or in outside areas that it at the discretion of the individual.

hi Malgo, the villages that you are referring to were probably in Rakhine state, the Chin villages, where the older women still have tattooed faces, north up river from Mrauk U.

Magway

The town is Magway, south of Bagan. A lovely laid back river town, no real sights only the pagoda and hardly any tourist.
