Great No_One 2013-08-05 10:12

Hi Roger,
As Bev says above, the light in this is really striking, its like the heavens wanted to create the perfect scene. Another great point is the colors of the boats, they all look very well cared for and loved, and it shows in the way they stand out so nicely against the deep blue water. I reckon that little house on the hill has a great view. I must also ask, what is structure just up from the road leading into the bay? It looks perhaps like a fortification?
All the best

Post To Noel_Byrne: Fortification

Hi Noel.
First of all apologies re photo size of Ballycastle. Uploaded wrong dimensions and could not change it. Nothing wrong with your computer just my brain. The structure you refer to in this shot of Ballintoy is an old double lime kiln used to burn limestone to produce lime for agriculture and building. You can actually walk up to the top of this and it gives a panoramic view over the whole area. This little harbour was also used as an outdoor location for the TV series Game of Thrones.
Regards
Arthur
