First time to Europe

Hi-
My best friend and I are going to Paris, France and Geneva, Switzerland in September. Neither of us have been to Europe before. I would love to hear your suggestions on what sights to see, decent hotels to stay at, etc.
We do not speak French very well (I'm starting a French course this year at college - bad timing...), so any ideas about language barriers would be nice as well.

I don't know if you will get more respons on suggestions, but one of the best travel forum i know is on Virtual Tourist - It's a very tourist & tips oriented site, the travel forum is really great and I'm sure you will get lots of infos there...

Ciao Laura, you'll can find also many interesting suggestions on the travellers forums of the Lonely Planet.
In France and Switzerland you'll find many people that speak a good english.
