Interesting effect. The flash exposes smoke and mist in ways we don't see it with the naked eye, often leading to "surprise effects."
BTW: You need another title- the horse has too kind of an expression.

Default To hrschwartz: The Horse from Hell

Hi Randy,

Thanks for your remarks.
I think you are right about how such a dense mist came into the picture by using the flashlight. It surely wasn't visible with the naked eye. I showed the picture to my two friends who were on the same trip and they were also surprised how the picture turned out to be.

And about the title, well maybe you are also right there.
I was a very friendly horse, the breed is called 'Ardennois', which are calm friendly 'coldblood' horses.
They are very robust and are mainly used, even nowadays, to transport cut trees from places a tractor cannot reach.
I tried to make the eyes red with photoshop to make it look more devillish, but it somehow seemed not right to me. So I left it like it was.
But I can assure you, that, when you least expect it, such a horse emerges from the dark, you get a 'wooow'-feeling. That and the misty effects that were only visible on the picture itself, made me give the photo that title.

Kind regards,
