Default To hpbaxxter: Giant in rock

Dear Peter,

Thanks for your comment on this picture.
But I have to excuse myself, I tricked this one. The face is in fact not larger than 40-50 cm and was carved in dull grey rock. In Photoshop I made it blue.
This face is part of a whole scenery carved out of the rock consisting of about 300 pieces. They were made at the end of the 19th century by the priest of Rotheneuf (France).
After a stroke he became deaf and speechless so he couldn't preach anymore. He retired and took up his hobby of making statues.
In the next 25 years he portrayed a fictive family of pirates who should have resided in Rotheneuf in the years 1600.

Now, a good hundred years later, these images are slowly fading away caused by the sea and the harsh wind.
I will post another two pieces, slightly colour-anahanced in the next days.

Wouter
