Needs Improvement KiltedArab 2006-06-11 6:45

I'm really sorry, but I just don't get this at all.

Maybe it's arty, but what does it teach me about Barcelona? What am I supposed to learn about the world from this? That people in Barcelona hurry to their destination?

I appreciate that I'm opening myself up for abuse, but I just dont see that this type of image fits on Trekearth. Sorry.

I will keep that in mind when I am in the southern ethiopîan tribal lands this summer, and Ill take pictures of people's feet there to see what they tell us abouth their life compared to those of people in barcelona.
Cheers

"The underlying theme of TrekEarth is learning more about the world through photography. Please keep this goal in mind when you post photos. If you can’t articulate how the photo helps others learn about the world, then it probably doesn’t belong on TrekEarth"

valid point richard.

you should take this issue to the main forums however ... there it can receive a wider audience and be debated fairly.

i'm somewhere in the middle ... i like the art and the message, but i haven't figured out which side i'd take! :)

Hi Richard
"The underlying theme of TrekEarth is learning more about the world through photography"
I agree with you. But, from my point of view, this photograph respects the TOS.
The TOS also specify that the photographs of animals and flowers are not allowed. Criticisms must be also constructive and polished.
What think about your photograph "What's your poison?" with its title makes an implicit assessment moralizer ?
It is all.
Regards
Pascal
