Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment. I would agree with you. When I was in Iceland in June, it was still light all day long, even in Reykjavik. But if it has to be correctly, in the sense that the sun actually goes down on the horizon, then there isn't midnight sun as the sun has to be visible on the horizon all day long, although you will experience the nights in light. Having said all that, I would say that the phrase "extremities of Iceland" should then go with all the other countries mentioned as well. So thanks for pointing something out. I will erase the "extremities" from the sentence. Sorry for the late reply, I haven't really had the time to be so active lately here on TE.
