PORTRAIT WITH BLACK BACKGROUND.

Hello Friends,
Can anybody of you please tell me to how to take a portrait with black background? I have seen many portraits like that on TE.

Just put a piece of black sheet behind the subject.
The ligths mut come from the side a window and a reflector on the other side, don't use a flash on your camera.
But studio pictures are not allowed in Trekearth but possible in Trecklens.

If the subject is sunlit, and the background is in the shade, when you meter the light on the face, the shade will be very dark, if not black... Like this one, if that is what you mean...

You mean like this ? WS I or WS II done with the same technique

Don't believe they belong to TE ...

Far more interesting to maintain f.i. the bokeh of an OOF background or a natural dark background still revealing a bit the surroundings like that one of Laurent.

Look with black and white eyes to see the contrast and shoot in colour!!
