Hello Pavle,
For you this represents an old tradition, for the rest of us I think this is a very original photo. The tree is dead and its leaves are dry but it has been brought back for a final rest among its relatives. It sounds like a nice tradition and it is a simple but attractive photo that teaches us something about the world.

the gold was discovered in this region and attracted many people, but the gold was gone fast and other big mines were found in Mato Grosso, a region much more inland. the ones who decided to stay in goiás survived by agriculture and cattle, the region was very poor as you will see in the samples of the colonial churches I will post; they were made of timber and clay and with no gold adornments in the main altars, something usual in Minas gerais, bahia and Rio. take care jorge. |
