Hi Russ,
I remember being in a plane over the Atlantic and seeing a ray in the sea, quite close to the surface, and it was gigantic! Such strange creatures, so no surprise that they are a good subject for a sculptor.
You have done a beautiful job once again on this, and presented it almost like an alien creature. This is enhanced by the night sky, looking to me like space that this alien has just come from. The colors are wonderful and the stars like little pins of magic light. A very fine result.
And I must apologize Russ, I know you so kindly invited me to look at your amazing set of 81 images, and I am really sorry I have not gotten around to mailing you about them yet. I have started a new job which is taking all my free time at the moment. I want to make sure I take a good time to comment on the album you have posted, as they are an incredible group of pictures, and so many of them actually inspire real emotion in me, and I want to convey that to you properly. I am grateful that you shared the link, as I have spent a lot of time studying your fantastic results of this project.
All the best
Noel

Noel...
Thanks for your kind words; I erred in not narrowing down the number of images before asking friends to review them. I am entirely content to wait for your comments as I post them here. Your insight is always enlightening, and I learn so much from the TE community! But if you want a more edited version, I have now winnowed them to one per statue -- two sets, so approx 40 images, but still less than 81!
