Long time no see! This is a lovely image, and as you point out, it's the light that makes it special. Isn't it always? I approve of the slight under-exposure (no blown highlights), and the composition works for me, even if you say the space at the top was for another reason: for me it gives the scene room to breathe. I may have been tempted to remove the wires and floodlight on the tree, but I suspect you're above cheating like that!

Left to my own preferences, the floodlight would have been long gone. But the contest rules prohibited cloning (although basic post-processing was encouraged), so there it stays.
