    Town hall of Maldegem.
The town hall was built on the model of the town halls of Sint-Niklaas and Knokke. It was inaugurated in June 1909.
Maldegem is a municipality in the Belgian province of East Flanders.
This municipality in the north western region of Meetjesland has more than 23,000 inhabitants, of whom 16,000 live in Maldegem itself.
Maldegem is nicknamed "the Loyal", a name which it obtained when Philip III of Maldegem distinguished himself in 1300 by his loyalty to the Flemish count Guy of Dampierre.
Later that name adopted by Maldegem itself.
