I already bought Vista since last year. Yeah it's damn stupid. I hate it. Most of my design program can not support only i update to the latest version. Finally i reinstall my XP back.

Hahaha, this is a funny thread! :-D

My parents just bought a new computer and 25% of the old programs did not work anymore in Windows Vista. And you know what is the worst?! Windows XP Pro does not support Intel Quad Core processors. So if you ever buy a Quad Core, keep in mind that Windows XP will not use the Quad Core as a Quad Core processor...

"shutdown /r /f" is the best option I use in Vista...

I'm happy with my XP Pro media. I'll try to stick with this computer as long as possible ;-). Good luck to all you poor Vista users hahaha...

Default Microsoft will discontinue XP on June this year?

I can't find any reason to upgrade to Vista and I find plenty of reasons for keeping XP and even downgrade from Vista to XP. Pretty graphics apart, what does Vista do that XP doesn't? I can only think about compatibility nightmares and absurdly slow performance...

About the discontinuation of XP, don't confuse that with the end of support. M$ still supports Windows 2000, which was discontinued in 2001 and a newer Service Pack (a major update) of XP is about to be released. I wouldn't be surprised that many people will wait for Windows 7 (the next version of Windows) and keep using XP instead of rushing for Vista. That happened with the last M$ flop, Millenium: people kept using Win 98 until Windows 2000 was released. I keep hearing hardware distributors saying that many people ask them for machines with XP instead of Vista. More often than not, those PC's with XP are more expensive than those with Vista. Also, I have read in Zdnet that only 15% of former XP users upgraded to Vista.
