I understand your point, not everybody likes fish-eye lens. It's not a question of being sophisticated, its just a matter of taste. I like it.

PS: Did you know, that Peleng was first developed for Soviet astronauts (sorry, cosmonauts)?

No, I didn't know about the Peleng, but I think lots of things in daily use were first developed for the space programs, like freeze-dried food and super textiles used in sleeping-bags.
