Dear Anindya,
Very Passionate capture. Good Job. Could you have gone closer now that you use a 70-300. Since this is a long shot a higher aperture value could have made the DOF better showing the water and beyond clearly. If not intended, then a closer aperture mode would have been better.Full marks for the journalistic value of the photo on V-Day.
(Now a days I feel hesitant to critique your photos...)

We have had little snow also, almost like a very extended late fall, really ugly as compared to a normal winter, we may get some snow this week, I am always hoping. Greg
