Hello Bev,
It's fun to take pictures of small children playing in a colourful environment, and this fair offered great opportunities. This is another nice photo that makes me smile. I guess you should consider yourself lucky being a woman in a place like this. I would probably have felt a bit uncomfortable surrounded by protective parents who might be suspicious of an old man aiming his camera at their children or grandchildren.

I know you are right about photographing young children; it is easier for a woman, especially an older woman! If the parents notice me, I usually ask, but it is easier to be discrete with a mobile phone than with a big camera; many people are taking photographs with their phones! Have a good day, Bev :-)
