Close to TE
Hi All, yesterday's TE hickup made me think for a moment that TE's final moment had arrived. No way to login, no way to send messages, no mention of TE on IB's website. Gone forever. Happily it wasn't so. However one day it likely will end just like that when the IT effort is too great relative to the revenue. Even though I'm not a particularly active TE contributor it seemed a bit sad to think that the connections to you lot would evaporate. A while ago you may recall I started looking around for alternative photo sites in preparation for that day, one of which has in the meantime dissapeared itself... What I did find though was a site that is pretty close to TE in many ways but very active. The UI is not very intuitive but once you know where things are it's ok. So, for those that might, like me, be anticipating the day when TE is no longer, I suggest you take a look. Let me know if you signup, I'd like to preserve the conections.

Unfortunately it does seem likely that not just TE, but sites of similar format are nearing the end. Somebody on a photography forum has recently been asking if anybody knows of a good photo sharing site as a number they have used in the past are rapidly disappearing.

I haven't been posting or commenting regularly here on TE as I would like to because of the demands of my work currently.
