Hey Lisa
Beautiful place, once of the nicest in the world I think, and it has a great mystery to it. I really like your take on this too, a great idea to exclude the ground level so that the towers and arches of books seem almost heavenly. Beautiful sombre grey light too.
I have to ask though, how did you manage to take this? When I was there they were very strict about cameras and the security guards were moving around live ninjas. Kind of like in the sistine chapel. Extra cool that you got this result while there may have been an Irish ninja rolling towards you

Hahaha! Yes Mariusz also commented that you couldn't take photos when he was there. Well, either photography is now allowed or the Irish Ninjas were out on ninja strike. There were security people there for sure but they weren't rolling at anyone or stopping the hundreds of shutterbugs like me taking four thousand photos and maybe getting one decent shot.
