Great holmertz 2022-04-06 9:46

Hello Bev,
If I ever thought I could influence your style of photography I would be very proud, because I know you as one of the masters of composition and smart cropping on this site. Because of computer problems I can only see this on my cellphone, which is a huge disadvantage, but it’s still enough to realize what an elegant and entertaining photo this is. No doubt it’s the cropped version that rightly deserves to be the main upload and the reason why I will add this to my favourites.
Kind regards,

Thank you for your very thoughtful critique, Gert.
How generous you were!

I am absolutely sure that the styles and the compositions of fellow photographers affect how we develop personally. I know for sure, when I first began posting on TE, I would rarely have included figures but that is far from my photographs nowadays! We all know how figures give atmosphere, scale and generally animate.
I think we have all become alert to the possibility of cropping larger photographs, often reinforced when we take time to observe and study the presentations of our fellow photographers. Yes … we are definitely Affected by those that we admire.

Thanks again, Bev 😊
