Great tyro 2011-10-11 16:03

Hello Aleks,

This does indeed look very eerie.

The lighting here is just wonderful - you must have chosen exactly the right hour in which to take this one. Was it early morning? The soft blue light contrasts well with the browns, yellows and reds of the trees and fallen leaves and the bright area of sky at top left leads the eye onwards as also does the road with its clear white markings at its edges.

A beautifully atmospheric shot!

Kind Regards,

John.

P.S. I'd love to see your exif data to see what time of day this was shot and what your camera settings were. Did you use a tripod for this one?

Default To tyro: Exif Data

Hi John,
Thanks for the chritique. I'm at work at the moment so I don't have the exif data here but I am pretty sure that it would have been: manual, f6.3, 1/15 ISO 400, definitely no tripod and is was just after midday. It was as gloomy as you can possible make it, I waited for someone or something! to appear at the end of the road but I gave up 5 minutes later.

Regards

Aleks
