Photographer's Note

Color and photography and the effects of the Harmattan. Most people say it sucks for photography, but, as I've said before, it's not a studio shot so you have to use what you have. I kind of like the muted effect the dusty atmosphere has on the sun, very surreal looking to me, especially looking back and remembering my time there.

This shot was taken in Waza National Park in northern Cameroon. A great little out of the way place with excellent opportunities for landscape shots if you have patience. Plus, the added benefit of having almost no tourists around and the park to yourself.
