Photographer's Note
Chad (Arabic: تشاد (Tad); French: Tchad), officially the Republic of Chad, is a landlocked country in central Africa. It is listed by Foreign Policy as one of the world's top 10 failed states. It borders Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest, and Niger to the west. Due to its distance from the sea and its largely desert climate, the country is sometimes referred to as the "dead heart of Africa".[1] In the north, it contains the Tibesti Mountains, the largest mountain chain in the Sahara desert. Chad was formerly part of the Federation of French Equatorial Africa.
Chad's terrain is dominated by the low-lying Chad Basin (elevation about 250 m / 820 ft), which rises gradually to mountains and plateaus on the north, east, and south. In the east heights of more than 900 metres (3,000 ft) are attained in the Ennedi and Ouaddaï plateaus. The greatest elevations are reached in the Tibesti massif in the north, with a maximum height of 3,415 metres (11,204 ft) at Emi Koussi. The northern half of the republic lies in the Sahara. The only important rivers, the Logone and Chari (Shari), are located in the southwest and flow into Lake Chad. The lake doubles in size during the rainy season

Hi Cüneyt,
nice mixture of desert sand, palm trees and others. You found an interesting point of view for that mixture with the tracks in the sand and this "wall" of palm trees. It seems that everybody is driving there where he wants. Thanks for the description in the note.
Cheers, Ulf

Vah benim Cüneyt Abi'me,
Libya yetmemiş bir de Çad'a gitmiş (gönderilmiş??). Sahra'yı tavaf etme misyonu verdiler galiba sana.
تشاد yazısına da bittim. :))
Selamlar, sevgiler

Merhaba Cuneyt,
I see you are back to the desert, this time even farther than usual. Good news for us, as we have the oportunity to look at rare wonderful views like this one with your posts.
I like it very much, you captured very nicely the mood of that oasis. I am surprised with those sunset tones at 15:30, but they look very nice.
Maybe the compo could be more imaginative, but it's efective anyway. Some more clarity and sharpness would be good - it it was B&W I'd say it is a bit too grey.
I did a WS just to see what happened with a quick manipulation of the color curves.
TFS, Regards, José

Hi Cuneyt,
thank you for the view of this distant place .. wonderful how the low buildings just seem to rise from the desert .. I might have cropped this just above the trees .. to give a little more emphasis to the buildings ..
beautiful place .. an impression of a bit of life against vast empty space.
take care,
John

Merhaba Cüneyt,
Filmlerde gördüğümüz yerleri sen bizzat gezmişsin.
Umarım su problemin olmamıştır. Uzaktan bakınca insanın aklına ilk su geliyor.

Great capture well depicting (I guess) the Chad landscape. By the tracks in the sand I see that this is somewhere that many people go to. I love the building (more like a construction) in the background. Very camouflage.
Nice picture,

Merhaba,

Hello Cuneyt,
A fine composition where the palm trees are the main elements the tracks in the sand are leading up to, and the structures in the back!
A well balanced presentation, captured from a good point of view...
Pleasing colours!
