Photographer's Note
The Pyramid of Khafre is the only one of the three great pyramids of Giza that still has part of it's limestone cap remaining. Giza is a place where you will meet many of the local camel touts who are eager to take you on a camel ride around the pyramids or beyond. I was fortunate to capture the camel rider at an opportune moment as he was trying to get my attention to offer me a ride.
Post processing work was done using Camera raw, Photoshop CS3 and then HDR using Photmatix Pro 3

Hi Galvin,
That's an extraordinary photo taken in a very common tourist place. Really great. I like it, however I am thinking about the sky over the pyramid. It's look a bit artificially. Was it changed ?
Anyway, well done Galvin.
Regards,
Mirek

Hi Galvin,
First thing I notice is distortion effect of wide angle lens which in a way adds a bit of humor to the rider and his smile, however, the processing has left the image flat with no real depth or contrast between the camel and stones of pyramid. The sky is not a issue but like I mention, this seems flat and since I have been to Egypt many times and know the Pyramids, the tonal qualities seem to have been knocked down too far.

Couleurs incroyable de cette bien belle carte postale.
La lumière est parfaite, presque irréelle. Y a-t-il retouche?
Bravo!
Luc.

Hi Galvin
now this is excellent and a good example of how controlled and accomplished post processing can make such an impact. The POV and composition are superb as is the clarity and textures under the splendid sky. A wonderfully imaginative, colourful and impressive presentation. Well done!
Have a great day - regards Brian.
