Climbing via an external stairway to the first floor of a building to get a view over the Mercato district of Addis Ababa I met this girl, who was cleaning one of the businesses in the building.

Nice portrait in B&W. I understand why you wanted to capture those eyes. With very little else to distract us they totally dominate the portrait.

Was it intentional to link Addis and cleaner ... it certainly made me wonder about whether she was using an Addis brush!!!

What a dynamic portrait though!
Those powerfully staring eyes shine out amidst the surrounding black and greys.
It's an excellent composition.

Great portrait, the expression in the girl's eyes is priceless. Great idea to present it in b&w, these eyes dominate the photo even more when we are not distracted by the hues of her clothes and the background.
