Lively market, a photo from Banjul, West

Photographer's Note

High activity at the market during the morning when the fishermen delivery their catch from the sea. There are various species of fish but i only tried Barracuda, Ladyfish and Butterfish. This part of Banjul is quite interesting but the main port is only a few hundreds of meters away with a lot of cars and people who try to get a place on the ferry over the Gambia river. A rather dirty town actually, i would suggest to go further south if you looking for a clean beach.

hello Boa,
nice the view of the crowded sandy beach with the lot of the native boats to are in the sea.I like the light as the colour management of the scene.

Hej Boa,
Från den här vinkeln ser ju allt väldigt spännande och vackert ut, fullt med folkliv och färger, precis så exotiskt som man kan tänka sg en afrikansk fiskehamn. Jag var här 1990 och tyckte att Banjul var en ganska avskyvärd stad, skitig och otrivsam, men det märks ju inte alls på den här fina bilden.

En bild med stor detaljrikedom; palmer, båtar och ett myllrande folkliv. Många bra färger också. Här har jag aldrig varit och hit kommer jag aldrig att resa, för mig räcker det mycket väl att se på bilder här på TE.

Vibrant scenery, Boa, a fish market day (maybe like everyday's), along the seashore.
A "busy" picture with amny elements of interest, beautiful colors under strong daylight, and notable wind.
My cong.'s, we do not see many pic.'s from this country on TE.

Hej Boa,

Helt fantastisk scen med allt folkliv. Mycket att titta på från människorna på stranden som väntar till alla de som sliter med att få i land fångsten från båtarna. Jag ser att det var ganska blåsigt så jag förstår att det är ganska tufft för fiskarna på båtarna. Bilden är också mycket färgstark på flera sätt. Tack för titten och ha en bra trettonhelg!

Detta är en häpnadsväckande fynd på vattnet och på stranden under palmerna. Han måste ha varit då en stark vind, grov sjö och även vinden böjda bladen palm. Handlarna på vattnet är inte lätt. Underbara, ljusa färger och perfekt kvalitet.

This is real splendid done, a market on water, also to the edges of the river.

This is another country we don't see much here!
Really Africa! - so busy and colourful. The boats with the fishermen, the people in the market, the movement of the water, the birds in the sky... A good scene from a good pov!

Hello Boa,
A photo full of life indeed! I love the sense of the wind in this photo with the swaying palm trees, choppy waters and birds gliding in flight. Lovely natural lighting and colours, nice POV that is slightly elevated from the sea and an elegant composition with a nice leading line drawing the eye into the depths of the picture.
