I'm not a fan of portraits, but I think this young girl deserves the stage of TrekEarth, blacks eyes, large and beautiful.Pic taken at the Abert Market in Banjul, capital of Gambia and the largest in the state.

J'aime bien les portraits , mais je ne suis pas capable d'en faire ! Celui ci n'est pas mal du tout , avec lea grands beaux yeux de l'enfant , entre tissu bariolé et la robe jaune de sa mère .

Des yeux plus gros que le ventre ! C'est vrai que cela impressionne. J'apprécie ton respect pour la vie privée.
Je remarque également que cette très jeune fille possède des marques de féminité avec ses boucles d'oreille.

Marvelous timing you managed, beautiful portrait of a baby-girl carried by Mom.
Maybe you might have include her mother as well, depend on time aned possibility when she was moving, but nevertheless - A great portrait applied. Stunning yellow color.

Much like yourself, it's rare that a portrait type picture gets my attention...but this one has! I think you're absolutely correct, it's the childs eyes that just makes one stop and look. What a outstanding and spontaneous capture you have with this photo, it exudes great emotion. The colors are strong and the exposure is spot on to showcase this beautiful little soul. Compliments on an impressive shot!

Je suis presque incapable de prendre des inconnus en photo mais j'apprécie pourtant les portraits. Cet enfant aux très grands yeux et à l'air triste fait un beau sujet que tu as bien mis en image.

pues a pesar de no ser un amante de los retratos, aquí has creado un magnífico ejemplo de cómo captar estos momentos especiales.
Los grandes ojos negros de la niña son realmente magnéticos y atraen nuestra mirada, y su expresión entre triste y cansada merecía tomar esta foto, sin duda.

Non potrei pensare di un titolo meglio. Che occhi, questo bimbo é bellissimo. La luce negli occhi é magica. I colori del costume della mamma fanno un bel contrasto con gli occhi e pelle neri. La foto é molto intima e vicino. Sei bravo!

This is one of those shots that makes you take a gulp. The innocence of the child and the care from the mother moves from the screen to the viewer. It is absolutely lovely!
You have used classic diagonal composition.
By excluding the mother's face, you have given special attention to the child, without reducing the influence of mum.
The dof is perfect for the subject.

excellent compositioon showing the big black eyes with a touch of sadness. I liked the colors, and small details like the ear of the mother and the tourists ahead. I guess this country is not so much visited and despite see so many images around the world these are the first ones I saw from this small country.

la composizione e l' inquadratura di questa foto sono eccezionali. Mi piace tantissimo il modo in cui hai gestito questo ritratto attraendo l' attenzione sugli occhi grandissimi, malinconici, curiosi ed accattivanti, poi sui colori vividi, il legame forte tra la bambina e sua madre ed ultimamente ad una scena intrigante della vita quotidiana del paese. Il primo piano in diagonale che lascia vedere lo sfondo vivace ed interessante e' un' ottima idea realizzata molto abilmente. La chiarezza eccellente rende l' impatto della foto fortissimo. La gestione di profondita', luce e colori e' stupenda. Complimenti e grazie!

Ciao Luciano. Italian eyes are big and beautiful (especially in the south) but not as big as these. La piccolina is snug and safe and is trying to decipher the stranger and his actions. Marvelous clarity and colours -all that yellow gives a feeling of warmth. A sweet image deserving the reactions it got from the TE members. Ciao. Klaudio.
